Carpe The Diem

Carpe diem. For those who don’t know carpe diem is Latin for seize the day. You’ve probably heard it said at one time or another but maybe didn’t know what it meant until now .
Seizing the day is another way of saying live in the moment. Yesterday is gone , tomorrow’s not here. All we have is now. If your mind is in the past or the future , then you’re probably experiencing either anxiety or fear.
That’s where anxiety and fear come from. Anxiety from what happened in the past and fear of what could happen in the future. I’ve through both of them. Neither anxiety or fear are pleasant . In fact , the can be paralyzing. But they don’t have to be. They don’t even have to be felt at all.
The key to getting rid of anxiety and fear is to be mindful and stay in the present. Don’t let your mind wander. You can’t change the past and the future will get here soon enough. Remember today was once tomorrow.
So seize the day. Seize the moment. There is no time like the present to start doing what you want to do. Start living how you want to live. Let the past go. Trust in the Divine to take care of your future.
Carpe the diem.
