Positive

Positivity is good. Be brave, and be bold.

Do you know what it feels like to truly be brave? When your heart is pounding, you’re scared to breathe, and you feel like there’s no point in even trying as you try to escape from whatever is chasing you. You’re so terrified that it’s hard to think straight or even stand still for a second.

But then something happens that changes everything: You find the courage to face your fears head-on. And when you do, the world starts to make sense again—the way it should be made sense.

The truth is, we don’t have to be scared of anything anymore! We don’t have to run away from our problems or hide from them either—we can face them head-on and keep moving forward in spite of them. We just need a little bit of help getting started sometimes, but once we’re there… well! The world will never be the same again!

The Shroud Codex by Jerome R. Corsi

The Slow Reader’s Book Review

The book has interesting plot twists and serves as a good vehicle to inspire thought on the shroud. Corsi is very faithful to the latest science based on the non-fiction I have read so you can be confident that the information you are getting is accurate. There was some new science regarding gravity that I had not encountered but when I researched it I found the concepts to be substantiated. Some parts are a bit hoaky but others genuinely spur thought in ways that are new to me like when the characters first encounter the shroud and are awe struck despite having studied it for years. This was probably inspired by Corsi’s own experience viewing the The Shroud

No Shelf Required With E-Readers

With hectic schedules ruling the day, people often underestimate the importance of taking time to relax and recharge—even if for only a few minutes.

To that point, why not do so with a good book? Whether you’re curled up on the couch after work or simply on your lunch break, eReading companies such as Kobo have enough options to keep you interested—and relaxed.

No matter what age you are, there’s something for everyone’s taste or preference.

The 20s can be fraught with stress and tension. You’ve left the comfort of home, so now what? Consider books that will help direct you on your own path. There is “How to Be Interesting” by Jessica Hagy and “The Defining Decade: Why Your Twenties Matter—And How to Make the Most of Them Now” by Meg Jay.

The 30s might have you pondering marriage and family, in which case, “Smart Parenting for Smart Kids: Nurturing Your Child’s True Potential” by Eileen Kennedy-Moore and Mark S. Lowenthal might be informative and invaluable reads. For a mind-candy read that’s sure to entertain, try “Bridget Jones’s Diary” by Helen Fielding.

By their 40s, people are looking for a little romance or a thrill. Books such as “Inferno” by Dan Brown, or “Committed” by Elizabeth Gilbert may have just the appeal you’re looking for.

In your 50s, the kids are (hopefully) out of the house, and you now have time to read and travel. To that end, “Still Alice” by Lisa Genova and “Live By Night” by Dennis Lehane could be the thing to toss in your suitcase.

The 60s, or Golden Years, mean retirement and the ability to enjoy the things you love most. Whether it’s spending time with family, keeping fit, or curling up with a good book, there is “Beautiful Ruins” by Jess Walter or “Paris” by Edward Rutherfurd.

As well as offering instant access to millions of titles online, digital reading companies offer a cornucopia of eReading device options and free reading apps for most smartphones and tablets, making it easy to expand your “just read” list. Whatever your age—young or old, married or single—books are a source of entertainment, escape and inspiration, but most of all, enjoyment.

Our Natural State

Love is our natural state. It is the state in which we were born. Its the state to which we will return.
In between, love is still there . Sometimes we do a really good job of separating ourselves from it.
Love is always inside of us. The thing of it is that we have to find the love for ourselves first. Just like you have to find your own happiness before you can help others, you have to have self love before you can truly love someone else.
Self love is something I have fought with most of my life. When I was very young, I without a doubt loved everything about myself. Then I gt older and , as happens to most of us , I was told things about myself that were not true. Because I was a child , and it was adults telling me these things, I believed them. I did fight for awhile; I fought hard to hang n to who I wanted to be. When you’re a kid though, theres only so long you can fight before you give up . You don’t have enough emotional intelligence, or experience, to understand that what other people say about you is a reflection of how they feel about themselves.
It takes a long time to get past that. Time and emotional awareness. But we can all return to our natural state. We can all return to love anytime we are ready.

Run With Your Happiness

Happiness is choice. I’ve heard that many times but it took a while for me totally understand how true it is.

Happiness IS most definitely a choice. An indiviual choice . One that only you can make for you and none of us can make for other people no matter how much we want to.

When I first came out as being gay, a person who I was close to said to me , “So you’re going to make me unhappy so you can be happy?” My response at the time was ” I guess so” and I didn’t think anymore about it.

Maybe I should have kept it that way but I found myself months later replaying that question in my mind. It was at that I point I realized how selfish a question that was.

So you’re going to make me unhappy so you can be happy?

Stop and think about that question for a minute. A person wants me to sacrifice my happiness because they think it will make them happy. That thinking is very, very flawed. No matter what actions you take, you cannot make anyone else happy. All that ends up happening is two people end up unhappy.

Most of us have been taught to put other’s happiness ahead of our own. Sounds good, sounds like the right way to be. But it’s not. You have to happy first. You have to be the person you want to be first. If you are unhappy and miserable, you will not be in any shape to help anyone else.

Everyone has a right to be happy. Everyone deserves to be happy. Don’t let anyone pin their happiness on you , it’s not your responsibilty. Your responsibility is your happiness.
Find your passion and run with it. Run with it like your life depends on it. Find your happiness. Live your happiness.

Wattpad

I don’t know how many of you know about Wattpad. Basically it’s a website or app where you can publish your writing. There are lots of users and lots of good stories.
One of the nice things about Wattpad is that you can publish stories and / or books in chapters instead of all at once.I am currently working on a story and a book of poetry.
Here is the link to my profile. Please take a look and share. If you are a Wattpad user please vote and also let me know bout your works so I can check them out . Thanks.

A Realization

Something I figured out today. Maybe I should have understood this before but sometimes you don’t understand things right away. In fact we probably aren’t suppose to understand most things right away.

So here’s what I figured out. If you look at everyone we would consider strong , they didn’t have everything figured out all at once. In their darkest hours , they probably didn’t know up from down. Buut no matter what, they found a way. A way through, a way to have hope, a way to happiness.

It might have taken a while. And at points they probably want to give up but they found a way.

I’ve been reading every book I can get my hands on. Self help, inspirational stories, etc. I have learned something from all of them but the bottom line is that I have to find my own way. Even when my path i so dark  I can’t see a step in front of me. I need to find a way. We all need to find a way.

Go Down the Rabbit Hole: A Writer’s Manifesto

Writing for Digital Media

1. You are the work. The work is you: both an articulation of the self and a possibility for self-reflection. Be honest in creation: allow yourself to bleed into the work, but also allow it to work on you. Your work can show you things: illuminate and clarify your own thoughts, motivations, actions. If you do it right, you will find the work changing you, too.

2. Thinking is process. Laying on the floor. Sitting on park benches. Getting lost on purpose. These are all working. Learn the difference between mindless distraction and mindful wandering.

3. Go down the rabbit hole. Sometimes the work isn’t about what you think it is. Allow yourself to get lost down alleyways, to follow a train of thought around a corner. Don’t feel you need to reign yourself in. Too much focus squeezes all the possibility for revelation out of the work.

4. Fear…
